Emberfall Legends is a proper role-playing game that respects your time. You inherit a broken guild and slowly recruit heroes, each with their own quirks and a genuine reason to be there. The writing is better than it has any right to be on mobile, with side conversations that actually made me care who I brought along.
Combat is turn-based with a light positioning layer, so you're thinking about where characters stand, not just which button deals more damage. Fights are quick enough to do standing in a queue, and there's an auto option for the grindier bits.
The one thing to know going in is that the early hours are slow. Give it three or four sessions and the party dynamics open up. After that it's hard to put down.
