Neon Drift Circuit

Neon Drift Circuit is unapologetic arcade racing. Forget tire wear and realistic physics; this is about holding a drift through a whole hairpin while the boost bar fills and the synth soundtrack goes off. Steering uses tilt or on-screen buttons, and both feel good, though I settled on buttons for precision.

The track design is the star. Every circuit has a couple of spots that reward memorizing the racing line, and shaving half a second off a lap kept me replaying tracks I'd already won. Rubber-banding is present but gentle, so leads feel earned.

Performance is rock solid, and the whole thing works offline, which makes it my go-to on trains. If you grew up with old-school arcade racers, you'll feel right at home.
